Mercedes-Benz Maybach S580 2022

A 48-volt hybrid system complements the S580’s twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine, which produces 496 horsepower. When opting for the S680, a 6.0-liter, 621-hp V-12 is installed. All variants will be equipped with Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel drive. The 2020 V-8 has 33 more horsepower than the previous S560 and based on our quick test drive, it’s pretty powerful. The power output of the V-12 is identical to that of the 2020 S650, and it does not feature a 48-volt hybrid system. We have not yet had the opportunity to evaluate the performance of either model, but if we do, we will update this article with driving impressions and test results. Standard on the new model is an air suspension and an active sound cancellation system, which contribute to the car’s silky, ultra-quiet ride; the S-class also features rear-wheel steering, which should aid in maneuvering this large sedan through tight city streets.

Interior,
The Maybach S-class features a seven-inch larger wheelbase than the already-large Benz S-class sedan, allowing for even more space to stretch out within its leather-lined interior. All Maybach models will come with exquisite leather on virtually every interior surface, a 64-color interior ambient lighting system, heated and ventilated front seats with massage and four-position memory settings, heated and ventilated rear seats with power adjustments and massage, an air ionizing system with a signature fragrance, and a panoramic sunroof. Maybach offers the optional Executive Rear Seat Plus package, which adds rear-seat folding tables, an enlarged center console, more rear-seat wood trim, and temperature-controlled cup holders, for buyers who intend to be escorted. Optional features include electrically controlled rear doors, a refrigerator, and champagne glasses with the Maybach logo.
