Rolls-Royce The Ultra-Rare $30 Million Boat Tail

The coach building branch of the corporation is now working on the second of three Boat Tails that are scheduled to be produced.
Rolls-Royce made the announcement about its second Boat Tail earlier this month on the grounds of the Mandarin Oriental hotel, which is located on the scenic beaches of Lake Como in northern Italy. This is the second of just three examples that have ever been made, and it is painted with a chameleon-like paintwork that, depending on how the sun hits it, may look anywhere from nearly white to a deep bronze.

The car was commissioned by a Rolls-Royce customer who has worked closely with the company for four years. Although it shares its platform and overall look with the first Boat Tail, which was revealed in 2021, it is otherwise a one-of-a-kind creation in every other respect, right down to the rose gold cutlery and carbon fiber folding stools that form its al fresco dining set.

Both racing yachts from the early 20th century and the Rolls-Royce Phantom II Boattail from 1932, which one buyer of the contemporary Boat Tail model also owns, served as sources of inspiration for the automobile. This particular example was commissioned by a longtime Rolls-Royce customer based in the Middle East, whose family business is in the pearling industry. As a result, four pearl shells were used to form certain elements of the interior, and the exterior colour was inspired by the colour of the pearls themselves.
