Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT 2022

The 911 Speedster, 718 Cayman GT4 RS, and 911 GT3 were created by Porsche’s GT division, which is also responsible for the 911 Speedster. However, the division has never produced an SUV. Despite this, the Cayenne team slapped the “GT” moniker on the rear of its new fastback SUV. The 2022 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT may very well be something that the GT division wishes it could take credit for.

The Cayenne Turbo GT was partially inspired by the commercial success of the Lamborghini Urus, with which the Cayenne shares its platform, engine, and transmission. The Turbo GT is positioned above the Cayenne Turbo S and features a revised 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8, a quicker-shifting eight-speed automatic, a water-cooled all-wheel-drive system to facilitate more aggressive torque vectoring, a retuned four-wheel steering system, stiffer air springs, and enormous carbon-ceramic brakes. A carbon-fiber roof, active aero, and titanium exhaust complete the package. The Cayenne Turbo GT produces 631 horsepower and 626 pound-feet of torque. That’s 10 horsepower and one pound-foot of torque less than the Urus. Although the Cayenne is not a product of the GT division, do not inform it of this. The Cayenne Turbo GT is extraordinary and feels like a perfectly balanced large hot hatch. Its V-8 engine produces copious amounts of power, and the transmission backs it up with swift, decisive shifts that always keep the engine in its powerband.
