This is an experimental production car, commissioned for a Mclaren director and the only Senna to by PDI’d by Mclaren head office, with the stamp in the book. Experimental production cars (xp) are used in the design development phase for testing, prior to the full production run. Once the full production of the car is completed, Mclaren will then offer the experimental production cars to VVIP’s, where they undergo a complete strip down and rebuilt to customer specifications. This is car is the XP-01 the first experimental production car, the ONLY XP car with the plaque showing XP-01 a halo opportunity for any collector! This Senna commissioned by a Mclaren Director boasts a sensational specification, however a full options list was never completed as the car was given to the MSO team who literally went nuts with the options.
