Alpine A4810, 2035: Hydrogen-powered supercar

A concept car designed by 28 students from Turin’s Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) envisaged how a sports car may look in 2035.
Alpine tasked the Italian design school with building a futuristic high-performance car, and the Transportation Design class came up with the A4810, a two-seater supercar powered by a hydrogen-fueled internal combustion engine.

According to Raphael Linari, Alpine’s lead designer, the Alpine A4810 project by IED has been a tremendously thrilling experience for students and professors. The end result is a futuristic supercar that pushes the brand into new territory in terms of packaging, dimensions, and design language. The young, talented students’ various creative methods, along with IED know-how, resulted in some really interesting reactions. Furthermore, the collaboration is a resounding success due to the outstanding final outcome.

Sketches, 3D models, digital renderings, animations, and the Human Machine Interface were used to create the A4810’s F1-inspired design.
Alpine Design Director Antony Villain commented, Collaborating with the Istituto Europeo di Design and its students has been a fantastic experience. It was a way for us to see the brand through the eyes of the younger generation, but it was also an opportunity for us to share our passion and expertise, as well as provide them sensible advice for a successful career in automotive design.
